Squadron Rules

All members are expected to read and abide by these rules. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for breaking them.

Code of Conduct

These rules apply to all members at all times, both in-game and on our Discord server.

✅ Expected Behaviour

  • Treat all members and opponents with respect at all times.
  • Communicate clearly and constructively in battles and on Discord.
  • Represent PPW with good sportsmanship in public lobbies.
  • Follow officer instructions during organised squadron events.
  • Report issues or concerns to an officer rather than handling them alone.
  • Stay reasonably active — notify an officer before extended absences.

🚫 Prohibited Behaviour

  • Harassment, bullying, or targeted toxicity toward any player.
  • Intentional team-killing or griefing of squadron members.
  • Use of cheats, exploits, or third-party software that violates Gaijin's ToS.
  • Sharing squadron internal information or plans with rival squadrons.
  • Discriminatory language, hate speech, or political arguments.
  • Spamming, advertising, or posting off-topic content in Discord channels.

In-Game Rules

Specific rules that apply during War Thunder matches.

🎯

Play Objectives

Always prioritise objectives over farming kills. Cap zones, support your team, and play the game mode as intended.

🗣️

Use Comms

Call out enemy positions, tank destroyers, and air threats in the squad chat. Even short pings are helpful.

🤝

Support Squadmates

Prioritise helping your squad over individual glory. Spot, extinguish fires, and revive crew where possible.

🏳️

No Spawncamping

Do not camp enemy spawn areas. It's unsportsmanlike and reflects poorly on the squadron.

⚖️

Respect the BR

When playing in squad, try to stay within similar BRs to avoid dragging teammates into unfair match-ups.

🎖️

Sportsmanship

Win and lose gracefully. Compliment great plays from opponents — PPW should be known for good conduct.

Disciplinary Procedure

We aim to be fair. Most issues are resolved through communication. The following procedure applies for rule violations.

Step 1 — Verbal Warning

An officer will privately message the member to discuss the issue and explain why the behaviour is unacceptable.

Step 2 — Formal Warning

A formal warning is issued and recorded. The member is placed on a two-week probationary period.

Step 3 — Rank Demotion

Continued violations result in demotion to Private rank, restricting access to officer-only channels and events.

Step 4 — Removal

Persistent violations, or any single severe breach (cheating, hate speech, team-killing), result in immediate removal from the squadron.

Appeals: If you believe a disciplinary action was unfair, you may appeal directly to the Commander within 48 hours. Provide evidence and a clear explanation. The Commander's decision is final.
